On January 5th 2019, the Monster Energy Supercross series kicked off at Angel Stadium–and needless to say, it was a challenge. America’s top 250cc and 450cc athletes battled their way through the traitorous and wet conditions California had to offer in order to start their 2019 championship hunt. The seats were sold out during the season opener, and fans were not at all disappointed in the outcome.

The number #51 of Justin Barcia emerged victorious on this rough, rough night for racing. He comes into Glendale, AZ with the points lead.
The number #39 of Colt Nichols walked away with his first ever 250 class win, and walked away with the red plate coming into Round 2 in Glendale, AZ.
